We sailed from Komodo Island yesterday evening and there was a fabulous sunset! The sky and cloud formation created a very interesting array of images and colors. Offerings

These are the types of things they bring. Each one has a different meaning and what they are praying for.

These young people are putting adornments on flip-flops. Annette was so taken by them, she bought a few pairs.

The colors on this door were too fabulous to pass up.

Momma cat had a litter of about eight kittens...this is a cute one.

These two kittens thought they could claw their way up the wall to get away from these tourists.

Taxi

As we got to our next stop, The Mandalika Market, there was a local taxi in front waiting for a fare.

Outside the market there were vendors with cages of live roosters, chickens and ducks for sale.

A Colorful Offering

Looks like this lady is buying some tofu.

Peppers Anyone?

If you're in the market for some chili peppers, they're displayed on this mat in the parking area. Didn't choose to take anymore photos inside as the further you went inside, the darker and cruder it got.

Mayura Water Palace

Our final stop today was this palace built in 1774. It was once part of the Balinese Kingdom's royal court in Lombok. Not nearly as elaborate as Lingsar Temple.

Fighting Roosters

These are cages with fighting roosters in them. Cock fighting is a very sought after sport in this part of the world.

Behind this door is the artificial lake at the water palace.
