Maumere

We got stuck in Maumere township for four days while we waited for a flight out of Flores. There wasn't a lot to do there but we did rent a scooter one day and drove around the coast. It was a fun trip and I got to where a racing helmet! Unfortunately it was a little too big and had no chin strap so I spent most of the time holding it on. The views were nice and the locals waved to us everywhere. I felt like the queen on the back of the bike! -Fi

Hi folks. This is Gabe. I know I've been promising everyone pictures. Because of all the pressure you guys have been putting on me to keep producing quality content I made a minor oversite. I threw out all the pictures. Let this be a lesson to you. Got a new camera now, so the pictures you'll never see will be even higher quality. Considering the ones you've already missed that's a considerable statement.

Back to Fi. Yes, Gabe lost a couple of piccies. However, we do at least have me in my fablous racing helmet. For that, be happy.

In conclusion. Don't go to Maumere. You lose photos there. It's stinky. Since the population is half starving they have caught on to the whole restaurant thing. They don't have any. The "beaches" are not beaches. In fact, go to Maumere. You deserve it. - Gabe
