VolcanoVolcanoVolcano

We can't remember the name. This is one of the volcanos in Bali viewed from Lembongan. Most days it was covered in mist.
After chilling out in Kuta (Bali) we decided we would go and explore another part of Bali! We headed to Lembongan - a small island off of Bali (thanks to Anthony for recommending this place and World Diving too!). After a choppy boat ride to get there james surfed at "playgrounds" which is one of the world famous surf places. Sounds small time with a name like that but on the day James practiced his moves the waves were big and I could not see him from the beach only others crashing into the huge swell. H e got hit on his head by the fin of his board but luckliy he survived just about and came back to shore throughly exhausted and waiting for his head to suddenly split open!
We decided maybe the surfing was a bit too advanced here (another surf site was called Lacerations, very appropriate as the waves here were huge!). So instead James tried out scuba diving on a try dive with the guys at World Diving. I joined him and although we only reached 7 metres (my fault due to dodgy ears!) we saw fabulous corals, moray eels, loads of fish (luckliy no gold

fish!), lion fish and an octopus, all really colourful. The next day we snorkelled as the boat was going out deeper so we snorkelled from the boat. Again amazing corals but with really strong currents that pulled you along, do not know how the fish do not hurt them selves on the coral. The most amazing thing happended on the 2nd snorkel, we could hear lots of clicking and then heard a shout of "dolphins", we looked up to see a pod of about 20 very near to the boat. None came really close but they were jumping up out of the water making lots of noise. It was amazing to see, they stayed by the boat for ages. Cool! We had another day of snorkelling too and then a day of diving where we just drifted with the dive as the currnet was very strong, really good fun though, like you are flying! Saw lots on these dives too, lobsters, more morays, lots of nemos who came up to our instructors mask to tell him off for being too close, an eagle ray and lots of brillinat blue star fish and lots of other fish too. The more experienced

Mia, Mark and shirleys daughter aged 4! She forced us to play snap as we couldn't teach her shit head. She's a cheeky monkey!
divers who went deeper than us saw a Sunfish which are huge fish, very funny looking creatures. Gutted we did not see one but we will go back another time as the diving was fab. And the people were cool too. Mark and Shirley who run it are an english couple and made us feel very welcome. We also met 2 london guys Ben and Sam (twins) who were very funny and another lovely couple Eduardo and Manuella who are brazillian living in london. We played shithead with them all and the others we met at the hotel, including some Andrea and Mark a german couple and a Norwegian couple (sorry cannot remember their names opps!) It was funny trying to explain shithead to them all.
Our last night in Bali we headed back to Kuta and went out for a morrocan meal with Eduardo and Manuella, we watched belly dancers (who looked distinctly Balinese!) and we also smoked an apple incense on a bong sat in a bedouin type tent. Really nice evening. Hope to see you guys again soon!
