Varanasi - an amazing place!

Varanasi for a couple of days. The most interesting place I've been in India. Really wonderful despite huge hassle factor. You cannot imagine how many times in a day you can be offered a boat or hash! Really interesting place with death in your face - dead bodies carried through the streets and publicly burnt. Definitely a great place to see in India!

Overland travel adventure. Am trying to do a travelling adventure without flying. This is quite a challenge considering the world seems set up for flying... There is no technofix to the disastrous impact of air travel on the environment - the only answer is to ground most of the aeroplanes flying today.
