In my last journal I mentioned visiting Varanasi but I forgot to post these photos.

Photos

Quiet moment
I like this photo, the rings in the water are from a man underwater.

Colorful Ghat
Several riverside ghats are a dump, broken down and grimy, others show a bit of care and color. The goat of coarse was eating plastic.

Cricket
All along the Ghats, kids smack tennis balls playing Cricket. One skinny kid at each place seems has to fish balls out of the river, tough job.

Nightly ceremony
Every evening, hundreds filter down to the largest ghat to a Hindu ceremony for the dead.

Bathing
To wash in the Ganges requires a wicked immune system, the stuff of nightmares in that water.

Check please
After the cow licked them clean a man rinsed them and put them back on the shelf.
