Barrier and waves
Well after a night bus out of Goa, then a train to Guntakal, we stayed there overnight. Woke early for a full day train to Chennai, then stayed there the night. Then woke early again for 5 hr train to Puducherry. Wow, 2.5 days of travel later, we were there!!! I hate night buses!
Anyways, charming little town. Seemed different then anything we have been in, in India. Much qiueter and cleaner. Joanna was just saying that very thing when we walked by 2 portapotties (the first we have seen in India) to see an Indian woman peeing right beside them! Oh well, yes, this still is India!
Cool story. In 1972 my father was in Vienna and met an American named Clayton. Well they became good friends, even adapting schedules to travel together more. They kept in touch here and there over the years, even taking a trip to China together in 2005. Well their friendship has been on for 37 years now, and I have never had the luxury to meet him. Well its so happens that Clay was in India over Christmas and luck be with us, we ended up in the same town for a night. We

had a wonderful dinner (Thanks again Clay) and talked about my fathers younger years, travel, food, India and more. Such an amazing small world sometimes!
