Torej, podajmo prvo porocilo iz Aurovilla. Vceraj sem v kaficu od svojega CS hosta Snahela spoznala Nemko Mariam, ki je prostovoljka na osnovni soli in 2,5 meseca poucuje anglescino, francoscino in sportno vzgojo. A 19-letna Mariam ni obicajna Nemka. Prav za prav je kaksnih 190cm velika mulatka, saj je njen oce iz Nigra, kjer je prezivela vecino svojega otrostva, mama pa Nemka. Mama je za nekaj casa morala oditi v New Delhi, zato je Mariam tam zivela 2 leti, srednjo solo pa je naredila v Frankfurtu, kar je bil zanjo precejsen sok - "Takoj sem morala iti nazaj v Indijo, da si opomorem," je pristavila. Saturday, Nov 28th Today, I arrived in Auroville. It’s a little commune typa thing about 15km outta Pondy. Getting here was pretty adventurous. Just a little tip at the side: Never rely on Indians, if they’re talking about distances. Not even, if it’s the tourist info or locals or anybody. So I was told, the way from where the bus’d drop me to Auroville would be between ½ Km and 5 km. Well, turned outta be 10 km. But nice people took me on their bikes. J The idea of Auroville is to have people from all over the world living together in peace and hamony. hello!! well this week has been full of mixed emotions, mostly good but some not so good. i will start with the bad. yesterday after laura and I got back from Pondicherry we realised that her rucksack was missing and that the back gate into the forest had been left unlocked. After an hour of searching through trees (without any help) we came across it, although the bottom locked compartment had been forced open although nothing was taen except some english money. sadly i was not so lucky. they stole both my torches, my eppilator, my memory stick and a photo of tom and I. they probably were overwhelmed by the blondeness and/or found it hilarious. so some indian boy out there has a photo...how very very strange. the main panic though was thinking that they ... read more

okay guys. well there is so much to tell already and ive only been here since wednesday. im feeling much more at home here, the people are wonderful (if not slightly new agey at times) and on thursdays we all get to go and eat out and i actually had CHEESE!!!! this week i have travelled out of europe for the first time, had my first swim in a mud pool lit by the full moon (full moon is a holiday here), had my first ride on the back of a moped (yes mum, without a helmet and on the busy indian roads). ive not gone far with laura riding yet because she doesnt seem to be able to dive with me on, but i might hire my own soon and give it a go. although ... read more
