Pushkar
We spent a couple of days here and enjoyed the "quietness"of the place...although there were a lot of westerners there. found it interesting that you couldn't eat or drink certain things but "medicinal" herbs were readly available. The trance music was a bit much for me in the evenings. We did hike up to each of the mountains and overlooked the town and wonder what it would be like when the annual camel fair came to town. But I did buy some beautiful silver bracelets there. Once we had out red string bracelts on we were safe from hagglers, etc. I am grateful to you as I seem to be reliving our trip and reviving some memories.....be safe, Ros.

red string bracelets!
We bought red string bracelets - actually enough for 1000 bracelets for a couple of rupee in Bundi - as we were thought it might stop the pestering. Worked well for the religious pilgrims - didn't have the same effect on the shop keepers however! xx Linny
