We entered into the Indian Ocean after traveling through the Straits of Malacca, the stretch of water that separates Malaysia from the Indonesian Island of Sumatera, when we departed Malaysia. The Indian Ocean is the third-largest body of water in the world, covering about 20% of the Earth’s water surface. It is bounded on the north by southern Asia; on the west by the Arabian Peninsula and Africa; on the east by the Malay Peninsula, the Sunda Islands and Australia; and on the south by the Southern Ocean. We use these sea days to keep up on the schoolwork and these two were no different.
