After crossing barren sands to spend the evening under desert stars, sinking Kingfisher beers and eating around the campfire to the backdrop of fireworks and Indian music and dancing, the few of us who have not retreated to our warm blankets sit off on the sand dunes and chat away...

Perhaps a combination of the romantic (but utterly touristy) experience of trekking by camel into the Thar, from the honey colored desert town of Jaisalmer, visiting the beautiful Jain temples and moreover being half cut in the Indian desert, two of the group are in deep discussion... love... life... how to avoid being obscured by karma... how to achieve liberation from the existence of the universe and so forth...

I however can make little contribution to such profound conversations as my mind is much more concerned with why my arse has been in such a funny mood for the previous 24 hours!

Welcome to India!

Hi Matt
Hi Matt, The desert looks beutiful mate...trust you to be half pissed in the middle of the desert. Judging my your commment on your 'nether regions', I would say that you have been eating the local Indian food. You have got to watch it out there mate, the hygiene is non too good, though your stomach in time will get used to it, in a couple of years. Meanwhile keep shitting and enjoy your self mate. Your friendly Scouser...Robbie
