Tiger
Marking his territory WARNING – Anyone contemplating the early morning safari in January needs warm clothes because at 07.00 in the morning in an open jeep – despite blankets supplied by the hotel – the wind chill bites.
Latest News Flash – Tiger is Spotted (by us that is) – we were so lucky to have seen not only one but two together (in more ways than one). We learned after that the female (called T17) is the daughter of Machli who was the subject of the BBC documentary 'Search for Tigers 2003'. Machlieesha is the tiger that killed the crocodile. The lakes in the park are full of crocodile.
Our guide was a keen twicher and exploring further into the reserve we spotted over 20 different birds including – black rumped flamed-back woodpecker, black headed stork, godwit from Preston, plover, blue jay and black stork.
Notre Guide a un bon connaissance des oiseaux et nous avons montrés beaucoup – je ne connais pas les noms francais - mais vous pouvez les chercher sur l'internet...

Returned to hotel for a well deserved brunch and then back On The Road to Jaipur.
The Road to Jaipur was long and winding and dusty but we were rewarded by some fabulous scenery and sights.
Yes Martin – brickworks was correct.
Now staying at the Samode Haveli in the Pink City of Jaipur for three nights - so far so good apart from the internet connection - we have been many hours trying to upload photos and write text. Wifi is nil and connection very poor. Still we've done it - hurrah, hurrah...
