Just about recovered from the 12-hour train ride from Amritsar, still feel ill though, damn that greasy Punjabi food!

Bikaner, is a desert town. Open sewers, camels, cows, pigs, dogs, autorickshaws, touts, touts and more touts and lots of dust ... but there is a lot of beauty in chaos and I've realized it more since I've been in India.

Visited the Junagarh Fort, constructed by the Raja Rai Singh, very impressive. Lots of paintings and marble decorations. Best of all was the RAF fighter plane, felt proud to be British.

Hadn’t shaved for a week or so, decided to visit a local barber. Only cost 10p, felt like I'd stepped back into the 1940's.

Walked to the old town, it is made up of narrow cobble streets - very medieval. On every corner there are spice and chai shops, amazing smells. Visited the beautiful Bhandasar temple. It is 500 years old and the oldest site in Bikaner.

Met a tout who called himself Sadam Hussian, sure I'm going to go on his camel safari.
