The town of Ranthambhore was one of the few towns you could walk around easily because it was small, there were lots of other tourists so you were so obviously a target for touts

We walked around the bazaar area, which was crazy, and found the veggie market one of the saner places in the hectic town center

Elephant transport brought you from the bottom to the fort at the hilltop. Having ridden elephants numerous times, we chose not to ride here

Throughout all of the mughal forts, palaces, etc., screens were made of marble - mostly so the women could look out and not be seen

This mughal palace has been restored can can be visited. It is 5 stories high and 4 of those levels can be under water during flood stage
