Munnar - My Cuppa Tea !!!

After breakfast we headed towards Munnar a hill station which is about 3 hours from Kochi, Munnar is located about 6000 ft above sea level and the rolling hills are carpeted with green tea plantations. As the coach climbed the windy mountain roads the scenery became more spectacular with blue skies and picturesque beauty, the air here is cool and fresh.

We had a short stop here to see the tea museum and we were taught how to cut the tea leaves, the young tea leaf tips are cut regularly and they only cut 3 leaves. I was very fascinated by all this, being a tea "chai" lover. No wonder the tea plantations look very even and well-manicured. See the pictures. We had Chai and Dosa served on the leaf which tasted very delicious.

While going to our hotel we had panoramic views of the hills, magnificent valleys, waterfalls, rivers and lakes, we stopped at each places to absorb the beautiful scenery and take pictures. Our hotel was on the hill with stunning views of the valley; there was some wild life here, nicely
kept gardens. It was much cooler here and in the evening after our feast we went for a stroll and watched the beautiful sunset.
