Day 9 - Kumarakom

Woke up and had breakfast at the resort and checked out quickly to our next destination Kumarakom. Before heading out to Kumarakom we did some shopping at Thekkady and John's search for Hindu newspaper failed.

It took about 3 hrs for us to reach Kumarakom. We were searching for our resort "The coconut Lagoon" and figured that we need to take a ferry to reach the resort. As soon as we arrived the resort we were greeted and upgraded to their top of the line pool rooms. The room was excellent with a private pool in the bungalow and open in the front to Vembunad lake. The room was the highlight of the trip!

As soon as we checked in we signed up for few activities. We decided to check out the bar (as usual) and decided to go for a swim in the pool. As soon as we got in the pool it started raining.

Rest of the day was spent relaxing. We had dinner and went to play some Ping-Pong and Carrom. Most of the gang were able to get hold of the Carrom game quickly and we played couple of games.
