Mysore

On Friday 6th we set off for Mysore which was a 4 hour bus ride away, no mean feat I can tell you. We opted to slum it abit with a very cheap (less than GBP1) non air-conditioned bus, so with the window open the whole way I was slightly intoxicated by the fumes by the time we arrived hahahaha.

Still we did arrive and booked into a very cheap hotel, cost GBP 4.50 each for 2 nights) but it was clean so who cares. we decided to explore that afternon and was accosted numorous times by people wnting to show us the way, the way to what we weren't sure as we were just wandering around LOL. Did get some verbal abuse from one guy we told to go away, but nothing we couldn't handle LOL.

On Saturday we went to Chamundi Hills, Carrie (bless her) wanted to climb to the top, 1000 steps in the midday sun, about 110 degrees, wher as I wanted to opt for the local bus, guess who won hahahaha.

Anyway we did decide to walk down and I had to laugh because all Carrie wanted to do was rest in the shade, had she have walked up, it would have killed her hahahahaha. She really needs to get used to the summer heat, at least I have now and the heat doesn't bother me anymore.

Today we wnet to the Palace, which was very beautiful, shame we couldn't take photos inside but at least we got some good ones of the outside as you can hopefully see.

Travelled back tonight which was a long journey but worth it because we had a lovely weekend.
