The BEST Quilt

The Log Cabin Quilt is the one that everyone is lining up to buy. The BEST one!

My friend Annette told me several times, "get Eleanor Burns' book "Quilt in a Day" or something like that. I found a used copy and two days before we left, Bill figured out a log cabin quilt, assembly style, and that is what we left Meena stitching when we left for Kathmandu.

After admiring all of the other quilts, we needed to arrange the 100 squares. I was content to do a simple one, but NOT MALINI. She was determined that we would make the most difficult one, and we did. See the photo. Isn't it amazing at the progress in just 10 days or so.

We discussed that 300 or more squares could be made, quickly, production-style, and then arranged into different overall patterns. AWAG can charge more for the complicated arrangements and less for the simple ones.

At any rate, everyone LOVES this quilt!!!
