Film Girls here:

We're cramming in one last blog before we head to the Hyderabad airport. Tonight we fly to the Chennai (formerly Madras) airport, where we have a 6-hour layover before we fly out of India into London. We'll be there for 5 days visiting Sheryl's aunt & uncle.
There's so much to tell you all. We're not sure how much internet access we'll have where we're staying in England, but we'll update as we can.

Our last day was spent much as our first. We lingered over a delicious breakfast in our outdoor cafe. Took a autorickshaw to the Mecca Mosjid, the second largest mosque in India then walked once more through our bazaar to buy all the little things we thought were just tourist trinkets on the first trip. Christina Filmed everything. We bought fruit from the cart vendors and this time we ate the watermelon. It was delicious. We spent the last part of the afternoon in the Salar Jung museum looking at beautiful Indian and Asian art. We haggled with confidence for the best price on the return trip. Christina filmed and the driver acted as our tour guide. "Our" is the word. I didn't realize how much we have embraced this country until today. It is beautiful, friendly, and dynamic, leaving is difficult.

We are leaving on "Ugadi," Indian New Years Day. For the last few days, people have been celebrating by eating lots of special sweets (it's a lot like America!) and making their resolutions. There's a special dessert you're supposed to eat, using exact measurements of spices: one sweet, one bitter, one hot, and one sour. When you eat it, whatever flavor you taste first tells you what your year will be like. We vote for a mixture of sweet and hot! So "Ugadi", or Happy New Year everybody!
We'll check in with you again next year in England.
