May 25, 2012 ...6:20 am local time (Hong Kong) It was great to get some sleep. Having stayed up nearly the entire flight I was tired enough that I slept most of the night. Great hotel
here on the Hong Kong Harborfront, with a direct view of the harbor and Hong Kong island across the bay. The taxi ride was the typical adventure of seeing how many suitcases fit in a HK taxi trunk, and debate of how many passengers can we get. With two taxis, we were actually stuffed with luggage but comfy in the passenger compartments. After a 30 minute ride to the hotel, we checked in. Great helpful staff at the hotel that accomodated all our requests, upgraded our rooms and gave a a package deal on internet access and breakfast - so the transition so far was easier than I thought. We passed by the Salisbury YMCA where we usually stay and it felt a bit sentimental after the five or six years we've been there. But this hotel is even nicer (I know the Y was quite a nice hotel) even though we're not quite as central, access is still good. I think most of us

were quite tired and went and crashed, though one can never bet that Paul Chen didn't stir up the pot and get a group to go out on the town last night!
