Today was the first day of school here in Hong Kong as I will be here for the next 7 days visiting companies, touring facilities, and trying not to eat everything in site. The day began at 9AM as all 45 students huddled into a conference room waiting to be debriefed of the day. We had 2 expats come and speak to us about Hong Kong history and opportunities, and it was strange. I had two NON-CHINESE people telling me how to live in Hong Kong and be able to "fit-in" this lifestyle.

Its almost like asking Kim Kardashian how to be a model citizen. Or asking Dane Cook to be funny. Or Adele NOT to be whiny. Its just weird.

Group meetings ended around 12PM and we headed to get Dim Sum. After Dim Sum, we embark on a 3 stop tour of Hong Kong. First stop was Victoria Peak of Hong Kong and driving through the mountain to get to this peak was eye-opening. On several occasions, buses come down the hill faster than a fat kid running towards a free donuts stand. The railings on the hillside are just wood, no possible way it can stop a bus. We reached Victoria Peak and the view is pretty amazing (see pictures)

Next stop was Aberdeen Fishing Village where we got to ride a Sampan boat which was a dingy little boat inflated with tires. Great. Another Bangkok flashback. The river wasn't as dirty but these towers are so tall (see pictures), you would think how is it possible they built so many of these and be stable? After the boat ride, we commuted to a famous shopping area called Stanley Market which is a giant area filled with hundreds of vendors that sell electronics, clothing, children. Well, maybe not children, but plenty of children clothing.

After dinner, some friends and I decided to hop across the ferry to Hong Kong Island where the expats live and party at. The views of these sky and the lights are something to look at. (see pictures) We went to a district called LKF, also known as Lan Kwai Fong. This place had multiple bars to drink at, karaoke bars to sing badly out, etc. (see pictures)

No, tonight didn't with a crazy story. I am a responsible adult and returned home to sleep, and not study.
