Argh the Arhats!

Like something out of an episode of Dr Who, the place gave me the creeps, I'm sure they moved when you weren't looking...

We need more cool stuff like this in our churches, we're so dull

But it is a dragon statue and was very pretty

Finally we spotted the end of the temple complex, it took a long time to find

It took us quite a while to walk to the end of the temple complex, but it was worth it for the view over lake Erhai

I've seen bigger

A few more large prayer wheels in the temple complex, they like the big ones.

Erhai or the 'ear-shaped' lake, I could wax lyrical about its beauty all day...

The nets were very long and thin but we couldn't actually see if anything had been caught

There were some beautiful autumnal shades in the trees lining the lake front, and you are still at 2000m

A yummy lunch on the roadside, they were rather spicy though.

Being descended from a line of Southgates on my mother's side, I thought they should give it to me

Missing Sandy but I'm sure he wasn't far away. The nature of Monkey is irrepressible!

It's ok, I had bugs for lunch

Yes, I ate the crickets and followed them with some dragonflies. They were actually quite tasty
