Temples, social park life, and Carrefour supermarket.

Kunming is a medium sized Chinese town, 1.1 milion inhabitants, capital of the Yunnan region, 46 million inhabitant s.
Known as the "City of the Eternal Spring" because of the Clemenweather, and considered as one of China's most laid-back cities.

• Taxi ride to the Bamboo Temple, 100Yuan (return !).

Qiongzhu Si, or the Bamboo Temple, 12km out of the city center. The ticket office.
The peaceful temple is famous for the 500 terracotta sculptures, the work of 6 sculptors for ten years at the end of the 19th century. Also for his vegetarian restaurant.
