Matthew took part in a great sponsored walk at the end of September. He ran 19 laps around the school running track and raised 450RMB!!!! Well done to all the children who took part and thank you to all those that sponsored Matthew!!! It was a great afternoon and I enjoyed helping to count the children's laps with the class TA and dancing to the great music!!... read more

Yesterday was Williams 3rd birthday......Party time!!! It started off as a small cake to take to nursery and then ended up as a big party at Green park!!! My fantastic Chinese teacher helped me lots and with out her it would not have been as great! We ended up having around 35 people coming......5 little Chinese friends from nursery plus theirs mums and 2 teachers and then our friends from Green park and a couple from Andy's work. I decorated the garden with balloons with lots of help from Matthew and his friends!! The garden looked great! I had a nice little playing area with toys and we played pass the parcel, "hunt the Micky Mouse" a Micky Pinata and "pop the balloon" with sweets inside.....This is what I enjoy the most, we all had so ... read more

The summer holidays have come to an end....I have to say the past 7 weeks have flown by so fast. I planned lots and found lots of new places so Matthew did not have time to say he is bored!!!!! Mission complete!!! Now we are getting back to the school routine..........getting up early is not Matthew's best part of school!!!! Matthew had a great first day back, making new friends and being reunited with old friends......Matthew is not a morning person but as soon as he saw Ameena (his girlfriend!) his face lit up!!! She had been away for the holidays, he was very happy she had returned to Teda!! I have spent a long time planning our trip to Chengdu and Xian with the help of my lovely Chinese teacher Helen!! Every time I think That's it all planned, a place to visit every day she comes up with more fantastic places to see and do!! I had a list of places but that seemed to doubled!! With the plane tickets and hotels booked, driver ready to collect us and look after us we were ready for our great adventure!! Andy has been so busy working long hours and with his trip to the US for 2 weeks at the start of July this trip was just what we all needed............some nice family time!!
