May 7, 2017 (Shuimo) This historical city celebrates the Tibetan Zang and Qiong nationalities. Located near the epicenter of the 2008 earthquake, it is a town that was hit hard with high casualty levels. Much of the city had to be rebuilt and was done consistently with its historic roots. Primarily a tourism spot, its photogenic streets are filled with shops of local delicacies and Tibetan crafts.
