We were up early and out hunting for a place for coffee and breakfast. After that, we ventured onto the the metro and headed to People's Square Park. It was a beautiful park near the centre of the city , with some lovely lotus gardens. Unfortunately, after taking only ten photos my camera broke down. So, we will be camera shopping while we are here in Shanghai. From the park we headed to an area called the French Concession which was interesting and very nice to walk through. We had lunch at a Thai restaurant.
In the late afternoon we wandered thru a few shopping areas before arriving at an area called The Bund. The skyline of Pudong was very nice to view - stunning skyscrapers.
The metro is cheap and easy to utilize. I do not know when I have ever seen so many people in one place. Despite the huge crowds, the Chinese are very civil, and the metro is very efficient and comfortable.
