Rizhao is a small place on the coast of Shandong province in China. Hidden within its city and its adminstration area is a vast untapped area of jeweled sights. Those in the city can easily tell any passing foreigner the most popular places to visit. Over the nex few weeks and months that I am here I plan to visit them and many more.
For a total, I hope of 23 different places known and relatively unknown places within Rizhao. Each one will have its own entry and photos and I hope to get information about each place for you the reader to follow. But before I do that you first must know a little something about the city itself. The beginning of it all after all is most important. so below for your reading pleasure is something about Rizhao, Shandong province. this information was taken from Wikipedia. So please enjoy.I suppose one of the reasons I am going out of my way to see as much of the city is rather simple. Between work and not work i do have a lot of spare time on my hands. Also, I know next to nothing about the city other than
what i learned about it via wikipedia.org, which to be honest isn't a whole lot. I am reserving judgement on the city until I see more of the city, thus being able to understand it better. I find this city rather clean and organized the people friendly. Which to be honest surprised me a little.
So far I have only visited a few of the places here in the city. I have spoken to a few people about the different places I want to visit, but of the 23 places they only about a handful of them the people readily knew about, and a select few after that they knew of the place, but never been there. The remaining 10 or so not one person knew of the place. But I am sure to find these places and visit them soon enough. So as it stands, I have written about Wnapingkou and The Rizhao Botanical Gardens. As I publish a new location in this city I will add the link here so it will be better and easier to find.

Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220 AD).
During the
Tang Dynasty, together with Ju County, Rizhao belonged to Mizhou District of
Henan Prefecture. In the second year of the Yuanyou Period of the

Would like to know more about Rizhao
Hi there. My family and I are looking to move to Rizhao in 2015 and am finding out more about the city. Your photos of some of the scenery places would be ideal. We went to Rizhao back in 2011 for a holiday and really liked the area (long stretches of clean beaches - not like many other cities in China). It would be good to see what there is to offer and whether there has been any changes there in this time. Nick
