This past weekend I visited the area of Tianmuhu, which is about a 3 1/2 hour drive by bus outside of Shanghai. I went with the staff from my school- about 20-30 people went (all of which were Chinese). I was the only English teacher who went, and it was a lot of fun! Old school water mill

we all got on top of the old wooden mill to pump the water through. the idea was to all run on the log at the same time without falling off....haha

Rice booth

This was a really cool stall that had grains of rice that they would write your name on, or a message. I got a necklace with my name and cell phone charm for my mom.

Hairy crab home

Outside the row of restaurants that serve the hairy crab there is a row of docks (so to speak) which is where the hairy crabs are kept in the water. The people also live there, so they have clothes hanging.
