Thank you for your many letters and wishes of safety, after another earthquake has destroyed the lifes of so many Chinese in the Western Province of Qinghai, in the mountain county of Yushu. It is near the border of Tibet and Sichuan, but far away from my home in Taizhou, Jiangsu, in the East of China. The suffering of these wonderful and humble people can only be imagined. The park is actually divided into smaller gardens, and each bears the name of an important city in our Province of Jiangsu.

This year's Dragon Boat Festival was marred by very windy and cold weather and much had to be cancelled. These are the few photos that express some of the activities of the chilly morning.

I found out today, that the most of the peach flowers were gone, yet still very few are blooming at the peak of their heydays. The azaleas are to catch up, with buds just popping out. The drifting scent was thick in the air after such a wet and cold period on the first day with the sun shining warmly. It's said that over a hundred of varieties of peach trees were planted in the garden, true? And, there is an even larger peach and pear farm at either side of the road heading Qingtong, the mature fruit-bearing trees are more beautiful, a lady told.
