Children's Day 12

Impressive architecture reflects days long past.

The inside of the auditorium of Hailing Theatre. We were here to enjoy a concert presented by New Star College featuring a visiting Russian classical pianist.

Children's Day 14

This young man did not look very impressed at having to attend, children's day or no children's day!

This young lady looked a little more interested!

These little girls were very excited as they had been chosen to present boquets of flowers to Ms Ludmilla, the guest artist.

Our MC from the New Star Academy finally got things started!

Ms Ludmilla was presented with a special plaque by the principal of the academy.

An accomplished pianist! So nice to enjoy something "cultural" on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

The children were enthralled and flocked to the front of the stage for a closer look.

Children's Day 21

Naturally we were introduced. Turned out Ms Ludmilla has accepted a one year contract to teach music at the academy, so my colleagues will probably see more of her. A very enjoyable afternoon had by all!
