Okay, so with the help of the sun, I can definitely say that the school is to the south of the city. The school also faces south. At some point today, Christian promised to get me the Chinese Address for the school.
After lunch yesterday I waited on a phone call for an appointment to get my electric vehicle license, but when the call came three hours later, all of the appointments were full. I'm going at 9 today to get it all set up. My other option is to wait until after lunch, then my friend Eric said he'd be more than happy to help me out. Eric works for the police. He's very nice, offering to help teach me Chinese as well as escorting me home last night when I got tired. Robert brought him along to Flower's last night. Robert is from Scotland and has been here one year. Caroline is the British woman I met, and she is super nice.
For breakfast I'm having the great American staple: PB&J. It's pretty close to normal too! The bread tastes a little off, but the blueberry jam and skippy peanut butter is spot on. I think it's funny that the supermarket only has blueberry, apricot, and some bean jam. I didn't go to the beer festival last night, but maybe I will tonight. I was under the impression it would be like Beerfest, but I've heard there's no food, just lots of beer. So, maybe I'll only just go to get a feel for it.
Today all the foreign teachers are going out to lunch. I think it'll be a lot of fun; plus I'll have more opportunity to learn names and whatnot. I haven't found any postcards or envelopes yet. I'm hoping to find some soon.
