Compared with Yunnan and Guangxi, Guizhou still a bit behind in development. especailly on the township level. where budget accomodation cost more but low on standard. Travelled north cross the Nanpanjiang river into Guizhou where I was heading to Ceheng. in this part of Qianxinan are the territory of the Buyi people, but in the Yata market you could see some Miao mixing well into the local tribal scene. Ceheng is small and spread along the Zhelou river where got busy with foodstands by the evening. Buyi superstious are rather strong here, on market day you could see many shaman like fortune teller help to guide local spirit.
further east into Wangmo township. another nondescribe town in the middle of nowhere, but in between the strong Buyi culture live an unique Yao subgroup. they wearr long cotton skirt and their costume are madeup with vibrant indigo printed pattern.
