Day 69 to 74 of 81 Journey by bullet train from Hangzhou to Shaoguan was smooth. Top speed was 310 kph, but you wouldn't know it. Whatever happened to the old clackerty-clack clackerty-clack of rail tracks of old? Arriving at our hotel in Shaoguan what a pleasant surprise. Paul has booked a proper hotel ? Pip & Paul We are now both retired, Paul for nearly 12 months - Oct '15 - and Pip just so - Aug '16. Married for 37 years we have always enjoyed travelling but have been limited by being employed and the limits that has on how much holiday we could take.
