after a 7hr of driving in a desert (similar to the ARAVA) we arrived at the oassis of Dunhuang. although the classic oassis photo is a small lake in the middle of the sand (we have one later on...) the actual oassis towns like Dunhuang are large vallys filled with greenary. the water comes from underwater resorvours and the water is crystal-blue.
