Nothing much to report back today. Without complaining much or using colourful language to describe my less than desirable travel agent.... She didnt book our domestic flights....l so this morning, bright and early headed to the airport only to dicsover her major error. We couldn't get a flight out to make the terracotta soldiers tour on time, so we have to stay in Beijing one more night And meet up with The tour group tomorrow. Oh yah did I mention that we were left abandoned at the Beijing airport, not knowing what the heck was going on. Our tour guide, nice lady, did what she could but had to leave with the 29 other people. Her parting words were " call this number in 10 minutes, they'll have it figured out". To which we said "how do we do that?" and her reply was "just ask any Chinese person to call for you" as she speed away to catch her flight in 10 minutes! Okay... Ughhhh ?

So if you haven't caught the gist of my description of how big and busy Beijing is... I'll tell you some more. By the time we got back from the airport to our hotel, it was 1 pm. We left at 7 this morning. Once back at the hotel and checked in, it was around 2 pm. Now we are in the middle of the 12th downtown area, so I like to think, have no clue as to what is around us, to take a cab anywhere would take about 2 hours at a minimum... So what to do, but hit up McDonalds and head back to the hotel for a sauna then get ready to do it all again tomorrow.

It has been verified that our domestic flights have been corrected. In fact they checked the whole tour... So cross of fingers there'll be no more abandonment in Asian!
