Imperial Palace
With our late arrival our local guide has put us on even more compressed schedule. Today, we are visiting the Tiananmen Square, Emperor Palace, Summer Palace, and the Great Wall. Tiananmen Square is just as I remembered it to be except it was filled with vendors selling counterfeit Beijing 2008 Olympic caps. With exception to the ceremonial building (this restoration will not be completed until the end of 2008) the palace has been beautifully restored.

It was not until we reached the emporor's living quarters did I noticed that my camera was not working. You can sort of peek how beautiful the restoration is. How disappointing that it was all black
