At lunchtime today we arrived in Siem Reap. Our tuk tuk driver has eagle eyes. He always knows where we are even if we are 15 mins early. We were eating ice cream in a cafe aNd started a stroll down the street to look at shops and restaurants. There he was, so we hopped in for the ride to the hotel. Angkor is so big that there is space to see the Asparas even though it is a busy site. I successfully bargained for the excellent guidebook. Exploring Angkor involves climbing steps- quite a few today. There is still more to see at this temple and I expect we will find time to come back. The hotel here is a little out of town and from the roof top restaurant you can see green jungle all around.
