Otres Beach - Southern Cambodia

‘Ello ‘ello

On leaving Phnom Penh we made our way to Southern Cambodia. We headed straight for Otres beach, hoping to find the beach paradise we had been looking for since arriving in South East Asia. Things didn’t look too promising as our Tuk Tuk driver took us down a dirt track road that appeared to lead to nowhere. However we soon arrived in an area with no roads, no cars and few people – only clear turquoise sea, white sands and a few wooden beach shacks. With our room only ten meters from the beach, we had found our own little piece of paradise!

We spent the next few days doing, well nothing really! We soaked up the sun, had a dip in the sea and enjoyed some delicious khmer food. It was also the perfect place to indulge in some pampering, where I treated myself to a full body massage on the beach – bliss! We were loving the slow pace of life in Otres Beach and ended up staying a day longer than planned!
