Extra notes from PP

We had forgotten to mention a few interesting things in the last post abt PP..here goes, in no particular order.

When we had a few extra hrs, we happened to see a 'beauty salon' and Am thought she'd go check out their services. When asked how much it cost for eyebrows, they replied $1. It sounded good, but luckily she didn't jump on board immediately, and asked them if they threaded or waxed. We ddn't even think of any other possibility, but the woman looked confused, and pulled out a blade. Yes, a genuine steel blade. Am was in turn confused and initially thought there was some mechanism or some other contraption linked to it, but nope - thery really just use it directly! Well we definitely got out of there fast, thankful that we had asked that extra question 😊

Another thing that we actually noted throughout this trip was that everyone seemed to think that An was European given his latest hairstyle (or as our grand-aunt in Bangkok said, 'headstyle'). They seemed confused as Am resembled them quite closely but clearly was wth a 'foreigner' not to mention she was carryng around a huge camera at all times. Even in india we got this comment multiple times..
