Now that we have a good broadband connection, I’ll upload some pictures from Angkor Wat.

Angkor Wat is a group of ruins in the center of Cambodia built between the 9th and 12th century. It was once the center of a large empire that stretched from southern Vietnam through most of Thailand. The most famous of complex in the area is the eponymous Angkor Wat. There are 20-30 other complexes in the area, many of which are quite impressive

Given the 90 degree temperatures and large distances between the ruins (up to 12 miles), we were only able to see a small portion of the area. After just 4 hours of wandering, we would stagger back to the hotel and collapse for a couple of hours. Amazingly, this is the coolest time of year in Cambodia.

We went to Angkor Wat on a Sunday, which apparently is the day of rest for Buddist monks. Many of them come to Angkor Wat. At first we assumed they were being paid to pose as decoration in the temples but they later explained that they come to practice English.

As we were leaving Bayon, it began to fill with smoke. We couldn't figure out whether this was a large offering (throughout our trip, we saw buddists burning offerings at sunset) or insectiside for a wedding that was about to be held on the premises. I don't know which is worse for our health.
