The best thing about night buses is that they are cheap and when you arrive somewhere dead tired at 4:30 AM the people at guesthouses are very cool and have a check in time something ridiculous like 4 or 5 AM so you can have a cou... White is beautiful here and all the skin creams promise skin whitening power. I try to convince them that we're busy giving ourselves cancer and wrinkles to look just like them but they seen unconvinced

They know "Hello" and "Bye bye" but not "postcards" "money" or "bon bon"! It's so nice! Notice the baby with the knife, I estimate the percentage of babies in the hills of Asia armed with knives to be around 50%

Hey Kate!
On behalf of all Aussies, we feign offence at any suggestion that the target of our excavation activities is influenced by the American hegemony! The (land) area of China is 9,326,410 sq. kms while the area of the UK is 241,590 sq. kms. The reason we try to dig our way to China is purely because we tend to be a fairly imprecise lot (did you see the 2000 Olympics opening ceremony?) and have a much better chance of actually hitting China. And because we like a good pork bun. Good to see you had a blast around Burma :) Relish the last leg of your trip!
