I had no idea what to expect from Burma. Out of all the travelers I have met along the way, only two had actually been there before. Everyone else had stories of people they knew who knew other people who had dared to risk traveling within Myanmar's untouched territory. Add lime paste, pieces of bettlenut and a variety of other random things - I think there was some coconut. Usually tobacco is added but I opted to have it without.

(Just to prove I was actually eating it!) It has a very crunchy sort of texture to begin with and the beetlenut stains your mouth red

Wash your mouth out really well. > I think I failed the attempt to blend in the with locals. I just cant stand beetlenut. Most people we met were constantly chewing it - the guy that made mine has 10 a day!
