Over the centuries Armenians have always tried to create and preserve their own, unique culture. Thanks to this centuries-old aspiration, nowadays Armenians have their own unique and beautiful alphabet, the basis of the great Armenian language.

The Armenian alphabet was created in 405-406 by the scientist and priest Mesrop Mashtots, and for more than 1600 years it has remained almost unchanged. Language is an integral part of a culture that reflects the identity of a nation and only language and culture distinguish nations from each other.
