Another season on the ice - Antarctica. This year I got to visit a few more places. I spent 1/2 day dive tending, I am sure glad that I am not SCUBA diving in Antarctica. No full face head gear is used. I also was awarded with a trip to the South Pole (sleigh ride). This glacier is miles across. One can see how it moves by the gravel from the mountains on its surface.

These pot holes are caused by warm weather and seawater working its way up thru cracks in the ice road.

The best way is directly thru the pot holes instead of trying to drive around them.
