Safe Travels, Nora!

Nora isn’t dead... She just went back home!

On Friday, September 30th, we said good-bye to our room-mate, Nora Julien. As some of you know, Nora is a graduate student from Switzerland who was living with Hanna and me for 10 weeks. She was here working on her thesis in African Studies.

Nora was the kind of room-mate who could get under your skin. I mean that in a good way. She and I acted like siblings. We drove eachother crazy, insulted one another, pushed one another’s buttons, didn’t speak to one another for a little while, and then picked up where we left off.

I’m going to miss her.
