It's hard to imagine Hammamet in the summer. When we stayed it was a sleepy town with very little night life. In the summer it's jam packed with tourists sunning themselves during the day and drinking themselves silly at night. We are pleased we went now!

The city itself is nothing much to write home about. We had a nice wander around and admired the deserted beaches. Being quiet, we got quite a lot of hassle in the medina but it wasn't too bad. We also walked out to Villa Sebastian, the International Cultural Centre where we wandered around the botanical gardens and viewed the villa with its art gallery and lovely swimming pool.

All in all though we didn't think Hammamet was worth a special journey. Unless of course you like good beer! The Brauhaus make their beers on site and they were fantastic!!
