March 14, 2015 (Siteki, Swaziland) We had an easy trip from Johannesburg to Manzini to the new King Mswati III International Airport. Not much activity at the airport, but nice runways and a very nice facility. We cleared passport control and picked up our bags, cleared customs and Mrs. Pons pulled up just as we gathered all our bags. It is warm and quite humid here, so a bit of climate adjustment. We left for Mabuda Farms in the Pons family van, about 25 minute drive from the airport. Upon arrival, room were assigned (we'll all six be staying in the Pons house) and then we had a "spot of tea" and a great lunch of fresh farm produce. We relaxed by the pool, some of us took a nap, and now Evan and Derek are out riding horses. So, now we're finally at our destination, getting ready for a busy busy week clinically. Dr. Pons is at the South African Ophthalmology meeting and will be joining us tomorrow. Glad to be here!
