This morning I grudgingly got out of bed to go on a game drive. I was so comfortable in the chalet last night. This morning's game drive was very quiet like yesterday's was. The only interesting sighting that I saw was a Fish Eagle and a Kori Bustard. I may have slept through the other animal and bird sightings.

Back at camp, we packed the car and drove towards our next accommodation place – Letaba Rest Camp. On our drive we stopped to watch a cute little Tree Squirrel sniffing about in a dead tree. We came to river filled with water plants. Among the greenery we spotted a few hippos. On the other side of the river bank were a herd of impalas. Here and there we also spotted a couple of large crocodiles.

Further along the road which at times ran parallel to the river, we stopped to look at a large pod of hippos. They were out of the water and on the sand bank grazing. We also saw crocodiles and various bird species. We continued driving, the next time we stopped the river was much drier. Here we saw a couple of elephants and a herd

of impalas.

Just before we arrived at Letaba at 1pm we came across a couple of muddy dagga boys. Tonight we were back in the tent. After checking in we set-up camp, had a wander around and then ate unch. The tent was set-up right next to the fence where Paul has always insisted, as here there was a much greater chance of seeing animals walk along the fence. It was now also becoming my preferred place for setting up camp. We spent the afternoon resting and went for a swim to help us cool down.

Late in the afternoon we went for a short game drive. We saw impalas, scenic landscapes, a hippo, elephants and buffaloes.

As we were cooking our dinner this evening, we had a few visitors – hyenas. They were hungrily walking up and down the fence. It was nice to see them, but there was no way we were feeding them!
