Two of the Big Five

This afternoon Paul had to pick-up a staff member from the furthest gate, so naturally as I had a;ready finished working for the day I went along for a drive. A few other staff also came with us for the drive- great to see them interested in the animals and the bush.

At first we didn't see much until we came across four elephants, two on the road and the other two by the road. The two on the road were slowly walking towards us and swaying their trunks. With their trunks they were sniffing the air. The largest elephant continued to walk towards us and stopped at the vehicle- it was a little bit too close for my comfort. We couldn't do anything except for sit and wait for him to walk away. Finally he left and followed the other 3 elephants into the bush. We continued to the gate and on the way back we saw two white rhinos. The rhinos were not feeling friendly and briskly walked away. Another fantastic drive through the park.
