This morning everyone except me got up early to go fishing. I enjoyed a late sleep-in. Once I had breakfast I went for a little walk around. I saw a ground squirrel and various bird species. It was getting pretty hot now and I went back to relax in the house. The others came back soon after from fishing and we all had lunch.

We all spent the next few hours napping and relaxing at the house and trying to keep cool. Later on in the afternoon it was apparently time to go fishing again. This time I went with everyone down to the dam. As they fished, I walked along and tried to photograph the birds before they flew away. I saw ostriches, ground squirrels and beautiful flamingos that would fly away as I got closer and then land nearby. There were also many other birds that were floating on the water – with today's weather that would be the best place to be!

I also saw a few very large barbel swimming in the water. It was pretty to see the flamingos when they flew above – the pink, white and black feathers.

Finally about an hour later,

Paul caught a fish. He was happy and after a few photos he released it back into the dam. Before I even had a chance to walk away, he caught another fish! This one was slightly bigger than the first. I turned out to be a good luck charm.

Paul continued fishing and I went for another short walk. At about half past six we drove back to the house. On the way we watched a couple of ostriches.

Back at the house we sat outside with a drink and enjoyed a nice sunset.
