These are just some random photos that I thought were cool. I'm not sure which ones are mine and which ones are the Flaskerud's.
The yellow birds are weavers. There was a tree just outside the upper veranda at the lodge that was loaded with small nests. We watched them for quite a while, watching the males go get pieces of grass and build them while a few females looked at the real estate. Some of the nests were just in the beginning stages and you could see the silhouettes of them building inside the nest. It was pretty cool to watch because there were hundreds of them.
The woman with the bird is Veena. She runs the Zulu Game Reserve and had dinner with us the last night. We wanted us to come home to tell you all to come visit Africa. There really aren't that many Americans that do visit. It's mostly the European. So we're telling you now, if you get a chance, go. It's a beautiful country with beautiful people.
